Hello!

I know it seems as if I have dropped off the face of the earth, correct? Well I rest assure you, I am still alive and well. Let me explain to you why I've been gone for so long:

1. When I was sick, I missed a LOT of make-up work for school. Obviously it was the only three days of the year that  one of my teachers decided to pummel us with work.
2. I went to a new dance studio on a past Thursday, and that took up much of my time. I also researched so many dance studios in my area until my head hurt.
3. Last Wednesday I was taking a break from that make-up work (yes it has taken me that long to get it done) and I was relaxing in my chair, propping my feet up on my desk. Unfortunately, I have one of those rolling chairs, along with a hard-wood floor. Note to self: hard wood floors and rolling chairs DO NOT MIX! My chair just decided to flip out from under me, resulting a bruised and confused Lady Beret on the floor. I had a mild to moderate concussion, which has not been enjoyable for the past few days.

So. Pardon me for not blogging, but I am back and ready with lot's of new topics. :)

Okay! My first topic I wish to discuss is the new Marni t-shirts designed by underprivileged children in South America and East Asia (according to my resources).

This is one of the jacket-shirts designed by one of the children. Marni is trying to hold on to the  imaginative side of life with these creations. I love all of the colors and I thing the concept is so sweet and amazing. A lot of the money spent on these pieces are sent to educational places, along with hospitals and other learning centers. So go to www.marni.com and look at all of them. I think it's s awesome, and who doesn't love a great cause, right?

Here are some more of the shirts:

MARNI - Shopping Bag

MARNI - Bandolier

MARNI - Short Sleeve T-Shirt

MARNI - Sleeveless T-Shirt

I just love this new collection! I do believe it's temporary (not sure, you might want to check on that), so go and give them a look! See if anything tickles you're fancy. :)

Thanks so much, glad to be back. Happy thanksgiving to all! (I have a special Thanksgiving themed post coming soon!)

I'm BACK!

Hello people! I am so very sorry that I havn't been posting for a while, I was a bit under the weather with a nasty little flu, that I didn't particularly enjoy. BUT- I got to watch re-runs of Project Runway, Fashion Hunters, and Julia Childs and Company. (I also love to cook)

Ok. So what should I talk about today? I just can't decide. Hmm... there wasn't really inspiration for me today so, I am very sorry to dissappoint you, but I think I'm just going to go and sit on the couch and watch t.v. until I feel a little bit better. I'm still a smidgen sniffley.

Thank you so much, and once again, I'm very sorry I am unable to blog today, I PROMISE I will write a good long blog entry tomorrow since I don't have school. (Happy Veteran's Day! A little early, but still, thank you to all of our past soldiers and for the ones serving now! God bless!)

Thanks!

Weddings

Hey! Okay, so I have been watching Say Yes to the Dress for, like, the past three hours, and I LOVE this show. I love seeing all the different patterns, textures, colors, and lacey attatchments. It's super fun! So, I have decided to talk to you about my ideal wedding dress/outfit. And I'm also going to talk about different wedding styles that are possible.

My top 3 dress picks:

I like this dress because it's bold. It's a confident dress, and it's not afraid to be a bright red dress, either.

I like this dress because of the princessish skirt, and the one sholder thing. It looks like it would be very flattering, too!

I like this dress because of how elegant it is. It reminds me of Montreal, in Canada. And you've heard of the saying that you have to use for your wedding: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue." :)

My top 3 pairs of shoes:

Okay. I know what you're thinking. HIGH TOPS!? AT A WEDDING!??? And my answer is, yes, high tops at a wedding. High top wedges to be exact. They would add a sporty and young style to the wedding and would definitely make a statement. And yellow is my fave, so....

I really would enjoy wearing these. The oxford/broadway look really appeals to me, and is sexy but classy.

The classic secretary heel. Who couldn't love them?

Okay here's the last section:

My perfect flowers:

I love these because they are my favorite flower. Blue hydrangeas.

I love white roses. They symbolize purity, and smell so yummy and sweet.

I like this bouquet because it is whimsical and fun. I would enjoy holding these during the celebration. They scream, "PARTY!"

Ooookaay! I'm done! I really hope you enjoyed this post, and please make sure you leave some comments and follow the blog! Thanks so much!

Starbucks!

Okay people! I just had the best Starbucks, in the whole entire world! Normally I would start with something else, and lead into this subject, but it just can't wait! It's my inspiration of the day. :)
So this Starbucks wasn't just any Starbucks. It was a normal grande decaf cappuccino. (My fave!)
And since I'm not a huge fan of sugar in my coffee, I decided I wanted a little flavor without it being sweet. So, after I grabbed the steamy cup, I popped off the top and drowned it in ground cinnamon. IT WAS AMAZING! It was kind of spicy, and warm and delicious. So good. So I decided when I returned home, that I would talk to you today about natural colors (khaki, coffee, coal, slate grey, etc.)

So here we are. Let's start with the original khaki pant. Say you're feeling a bit mod today, and you feel like dressing up a smidgen. Here's how:

Okay, these are Steve Maddens. I adore Steve Madden shoes, in fact I'm wearing some of his combat/european boots right now, ha! Anyway, if you're feeling a bit brave, try these. Totally fun.

Here's a less stand-offish way, if that's how you want to put it. It's sweet and girly, yet a bit bold and would make a great statement.

And you could even go this route. And the fun little pocket on the breast is so cute, and can hold all of your small items and fun trinkets. :)

Okay. On to our next color! Coffee. (In celebration of my amazing cappucino!)

Kk, here's a coffee colored sweater dress that looks adorable with that blue cloth belt and the ivory under-shirt. Ultra-preppy.

These just so happen to be the boots I"m wearing now, but I own a lighter color. They would look adorable with the sweater, and you could even throw an orange tank-top under the sweater dress. Just a thought.

This long owl necklace would look great over the sweater dress, and would act as a nice accent.

Kk! Natural colors! Amazing! If any of my followers would like me to talk about something specific, please post a comment and I will devote part of my blog to that subject.

Ok my outfit today iiiisss:

A white aerie tank top underneath a slate grey pinstripe-ish blouse that's decorated with small sequins at the top. I am also wearing aeroposdale jeans (that are a bit to small. I need to hit the mall again.) and my steve madden combats. Oh how I love me some steve maddens. :D

Have an awesome day everyone!

My First Post

I love fashion. That is just how it is. It's the most amazing thing, and you can express yourself in anyway you like. I'm a dancer, and I love incorporating different inspirations from my dancing into my cloths. Like for instance, if I'm feeling a bit ethereal one day I can just slip on my thin sweater and head to ballet class. It's that simple.

Here is everything you need to know about me, and also a couple of my favorite style secrets:

My favorite color: Yellow. It's so bright and happy :)

My favorite pair of shoes: My black Naot clog-heels. I adore them.

My favorite magazine: Teen Vogue. I'm a teen, and it brings me so much inspiration, it's crazy!

My favorite book: The "I am Number Four" book. I love sci-fy and fantasy things. Once again, another inspiration.

My described style: Preppy meets rocker chick. It's quite interesting.

My favorite make-up item: my bright red Jane Iredale lipstick. It adds a pop of color to any rainy day.

My favorite D.Y.I.: Cropped tees. If you have any old t-shirt or a t-shirt that may be too small, just chop it off about have way, and make it to where it goes to the bottom of your bra, or lower even.

Yeah. That's Lady Beret! Now on to a couple things that I always keep in my closet-

http://raajjesupply.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/BILLABONG-1.jpg
(I'm not sure if this is showing up to you as a URL or not, that's what it did for me, if so please do click on it.)
Billabong- I LOVE BILLABONG! I know they make mostly summer items, but if you layer, the patterns and colors are absolutely heaven!

Aerie is my go-to store. It's my favorite. If I had to shop in one store for the rest of my life, it would be this one. (Plus, there bras and panties are outrageously comfy.)

I like Hot topic a bunch. They have some pretty awesome t-shirts, and they really help tie in the whole rocker chick side of my style.

And then there's Madewell. I love Madewell.

Okey Dokey my friends, it is time for me to go and start on my math homework! Oh joy1 I actually like math, it's just that I would MUCH rather be blogging. I will also tell you what I'm wearing today.

I wore my patchwork jeans with some army green converse, with a light pink tee and a dark gray aerie sweater. Gotta love it.

Okay, have a nice day!
